Talk & Demonstration:
Head Baker, Nick Anderson, will explain his ideas on baking and explain some of his family history – his family have been bakers since 1680, so there are some delightful stories to tell!
He will give a demonstration and an insight into baking skills and show you how to make the traditional loaves that you see here in the bakery. All the bread at Mayfield Farm Bakery is made by hand, using organic flour and taking at least three and a half hours to make, ensuring a well proved loaf – full of flavour. Under Nick’s guidance the Bakers at Mayfield Farm have won 16 World Bread Awards making the bakery one of the best in the country. The talk and demonstration lasts approximately an hour.
There is an opportunity to browse and choose breads and patisserie you may wish to take home. All Meet the Baker visitors will receive a small complimentary loaf to take home.
