It is an old French proverb that ‘Never did God make a marriage like that of pears and cheese’. This bread lives up to the French taste for good flavour. The cheese is throughout the bread bringing a rich nutty taste whilst the soft chunks of pear bring a fruity flavour with a hint of sweetness and interest to the breads texture. This bread is perfect with butter as an alternate toast or with soup. Its also a great twist for a pulled pork sandwich!
