Christmas is but a distant memory, but hopefully Spring is on the way!
The bakers have started making our beautiful hot cross buns and Simmnel cake with Easter just around the corner. I know many places make them year round but we really look forward to our Hot cross buns and really enjoy the fact that they are a highlight in our baking year.
The boys have also been working on tempting Easter treats for our Easter Afternoon Teas which we will be serving again this year in the week running upto Easter, the teas will include mini hot cross buns, Simmnel cake, special Spring time patisserie and of course delicious sandwiches. If you would like to book a table please get in touch as soon as possible.
The next collection of dates for the bakery school have just been finalised so if you have a voucher from Christmas or you would like to treat yourself to a bakery lesson do telephone and we will be happy to book you onto one of the course dates. As will as learning to bake bread you will also have lunch with us in the Tea Rooms which is a lovely opportunity to meet all your fellow bakery students and talk ‘baking’!

We would like to thank Juice Creative who are currently working on our new website which we hope to announce will go ‘live’ in the next few weeks, as some of you will know, plenty of people have asked us to arrange on line ordering so they know that their bread order will be ready to collect when they arrive so this is the primary purpose of the website. We will also hope to show you many of our bakery products which did not feature on the old website. Thank you to all of you who have come up with so many helpful suggestions on how we can improve the website.
For all our ‘home bakers’ we are now stocking two new flours from W H Marriages – Moulsham Malted Seeded bread flour and also Dark Rye – happy baking!
