Christmas is nearly upon us – just three more sleeps! We are open today, Wednesday and Thursday, Christmas Eve until about 2pm. For those of you who have ordered, we are aiming to have the orders ready for collection from eleven o’clock onwards – bakers willing! When you arrive please come in the EXIT and go to the Coffee Shop where you will find the girls packing the bags.
If you have not ordered your bread then we will of course be open as usual from 8.00am although I doubt we will have all types of bread ready until later in the morning. We have plans in place to try to serve everyone as quickly as possible to avoid too much queuing so – in addition to the till in the farm shop we will also have mobile tills for those who are paying cash.
The Coffee Shop will not be open on Christmas Eve because we will be using that space to pack the orders, instead we will have plenty of hot bacon or sausage in rolls, hot pasties, filled warm croissants and sausage rolls as well as homemade soup in the Farm Shop to take away or eat outside. Hopefully if the weather is kind it should be good fun to eat breakfast or lunch al fresco in the Harlow sunshine!
Should you be hoping to have one of our Christmas cakes or panettone we do have three of each available for collection. We also have a few Christmas puddings and brandy butter.
If you need inspiration for last minute Christmas gifts we do have plenty of foodie gifts which may appeal or you may prefer the idea of a Bread Baking course at £95.00 per person or an Afternoon Tea voucher from 16.50 per person. We do have E vouchers that we can email to you if you are unable to visit the bakery. If you have the intended recipients email address we can of course send the e vouchers direct to them. Do telephone for more details 01279 411774. Both the Afternoon Tea vouchers and course vouchers are valid for a year and the actual dates are booked by the recipient of the voucher to suit their diary.
We will be open after Christmas on Tuesday 29/12/15 onwards but closed on New Year’s Day, then it is back to normal, opening every day except Mondays which is the day we take our bakery courses.
If you are having friends and family visiting on New Year’s Eve we are of course happy to take bread or patisserie orders.
We are very much looking forward to 2016 when we have plenty of ideas for new products, we will also have a new website and we are starting an Afternoon Tea Club for our loyal customers with different themed Afternoon Teas throughout the year.
Nick and I and all our staff would like to thank you for your continued support and encouragement throughout 2015 and wish you a very Happy Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Nick and Jane Anderson and all the staff at the bakery.
